Main Task

To create the trailer we used various of programmes such as final cut, livetype and garageband.
Using Final Cut
When using finalcut we had to learn how to import our files into our folder on finalcut.
When doing that we createdour music on garageband we then saved it and imported it as a quicktime movie. we then imported it into our work.

This is the final piece of music which we had constructed for our coursework. There are a variety of different instruments used when making this demo'.

We used livtype to create a unique title for our film triler. Using livetype we were able to convert our title into a moving image for example each letter can move to create a small clip. This looks effctive and gives a proessional look to the final product.

This is an example of what our trailer had looked like hile we were constructing our film trailer.
Our time drame is split into two sections the top sections allows us to see the clips and order them chronologically.

The green tabs below indicate the sound for each of those clips. If a clip is moved the sound does not move straight away. You will have to press a key which will link them toogether wen moving them.
When creating split screens for our trailer we were directed into a black screen. We were then given the option of splitting the moving image to what we had orginally wanted and were able to move around the image accoridng to where we wanted it.

This shows our work was orgniased into different folders so it was simple to find our work and any other folders we needed.
When I created the moving images on livetype i had to convert them into a windows media file which allowed me to add it as a clip to our trailer and position it where I wanted.
The same for this clip, it was orginally on livetype I had then converted it into a clip and imported it into finalcutpro where I positioned the clip where I needed it to go which was at the end.

This is an example of what our music looked like halfway through we were constructing it. The music was very time consuming as it had to be perfect and it took a lot of time to get everything right.

This allowed us to change the pitch of any instrument and allow it to function how we wanted it too sound. It allowed us to be very original with our music.

Creating a Webpage

To create a website we was unsure what website to you. For my planning I experimented with wix as I wasn't a fantastic artist. The screenshot on the left-hand side is a screenshot of dreamweaver. We thought to try a different method to create the webpage, however the programme was very very complicated and required many codes, which got confusing.

This is a screenshot of us trying to create a webpage through wix. The font was from wix and really did go with the title as 'Rags' looks scruffy and 'Riches' looks more posh

We wanted to make the web page different to the poster, therefore we tried different background images, however the website was too simplistic.

As we didn't like the background, we tried different background colours such as blue and pink as it fitted the genre colours.

On the left hand side is the photo we wanted to use for our poster. However Natasha's foot was cut out, therefore we had to apply our photoshop skills.

Firstly we cut out the background of the picture using the Lasso tool.
For the poster, it was difficult to get it perfect as the picture we wanted to use, Natasha's foot was cut out of the shot. Therefore we had to crop her foot from another photo and add it on to the photo that we wanted. We used the lasso tool to cut out the foot and dragged and dropped it on the picture we preferred.

Then we used the lasso tool to cut out Hariy, and then we put both of them in a separate page.

This is another picture of Hariy and Natasha, again we used the Lasso tool and then feathered it to soften the edges of the photo.

We placed the circular picture between Hariy and Natasha, however we did not want the picture to be circular. So we zoomed into the picture making it an extreme close up shot of the couple. The text we produced separately on indesign, however when we wanted the font bigger, it was blurry.

For the background image we changed the contrast and faded it.

We inserted logos that we created on word. Then we inserted text to produce our title.

We were debating on the colour of the font to use.

Again we were looking for a particular font that suited the word 'Rags'

We wanted to use Anoth, as he was the disruption in the film, which made him one of the main characters. Therefore we used the lasso tool again to crop the background out.

This is the result of cutting out the background. We then dragged this picture on our main cover poster.

We tried to change the contrast by using curves, because we wanted a different fade from the top picture.

Here is an example of Anoth slightly faded, however we were not happy with the result, so we made a couple of changes.
